Hello Gang!

This is your Secondlife Reporter Jaquelynn! Today I am doing a story of a yet another game inside Secondlife called Dark Life. This game is like a mini MMORPG kind of like Everquest or World of Warcraft. This is just a prime example of what you can do if you know how to do scripting in Secondlife. I wanted to interview Mark Busch but he was not online he is the creater and owner of Dark Life however, I do know is that he is a student in aritificial intelligence, 22 years old. This game is on a sim the size of 64512 sq. m. and traffic to this game is 6428 which would state it’s a very popular game!

Lets take a look shall we:

When first entering the town I hear a shop keeper whisper..
Woody the Shopkeep whispers: Watch your step.
Woody the Shopkeep whispers: I wouldn't want you to get hurt, my insurance just won't cover it.

You can choose to talk to the shop keeper by clicking on him and a menu appears that lets you talk to the shop keeper! From my understand about this shop keeper he hads you a news paper to give you the latest news about Dark Life.

What you must remember viewing these snap shots of Dark Life in SL is that everything you see minus the avatars is 3d builds inside the game from hard armor to weapons and the monsters! The sky is the limit when creating inside Secondlife.



Here are some screen shots for your eyes enjoyment. In the picture above you will see DoubleD Barron fighting off a foo and making xp and some gold while she’s at it.



A one eyed six mouth beast who was trying so hard to give me a kiss but was confused on which mouth to use. Next you see the frog swamp where there is plenty of frog legs to eat if your hungry.. and some scropions so whatch out for the stingers!



Then we have the skellie which is never nice and doesn’t ever give out warm welcome greetings!



Last but not least we have a very small part of the city Dark Life. This is where you start up in Dark Life.

Oh ok let me explain how to play first you will enter the city in this long building which you see in the picture. There is a round room on the side you can see it way in the back. There are 3 books that explain gamming and how its done etc. Well first thing you do when you get ready to play is buy a Dark Life back pack. Which cost you I think 499 Linden dollars. Then you buy a newbie weapon which is either free or 1 Linden Dollar. In dark life you can start out as anything and change what class you are as you progress in levels. It all depends on what you spend your experence points in. I am not sure what the loot tables are these days as I have not had time to actually play it for some months. But use to be that the mobs dropped gold which is good for buying health, and mana potions, also equipment up grades. It is very much its own little MMORPG in Secondlife.



I wont give everything away how the game is played I do not want to spoil the fun for future players. I find it rather amazing that players inside Secondlife can make a game that makes a game interesting! Did I lose you there?
