Roland Retrieves his crown! Well folks, he did it. As a special birthday gift to Way Out There Radio, DJ Roland decided to broadcast 1 hour for every month we have been in existance. That feat regained him his title of our Longest On-Air DJ, with a whopping 36 Hours and 7 Minutes. So the next time you see him be sure to congradulate him and tell him to catch up on some well deserved sleep.

Happy Birthday WOTR! It sure is hard to believe, but here we are. Way Out There Radio's third birthday. We have been providing rockin tunes to the land of There for 3 years now, with no end in sight. New Site Section! It's a new year, so we have added a new section to the Way Out There Radio website. It is called Downloads and will be the place to get all sort of free media downloads from WOTR. Currently it is opening with a small selection of backgrounds, but expect it to grow over time. Eventually it will grow past just backgrounds, but for now, thats how it will start.

Server Move Complete! It's a brand new, hopefully happy, year. Here at Way Out There Radio, we have a few things cooking in the ever boiling cauldron of craziness we call an internet radio station. Coming in March will be WOTR's 3rd brithday, so expect one hell of a party. After much begging and pleading with our Swag Shop suppliers, we have finally convienced them that "Black is where it's At!" Thats right, we have talked them into providing us with black appearel to put our designs on. So expect to see new products appearing in the Swag Shop all year long as we keep our designers chained to their desks cranking out new designs.

Server Outage Notice! Happy New Year! Things are happening here at at Way Out There Radio. Lots of plans for the new year. First thing will be a move to a new datacenter with improved bandwidth to better provide for your listening needs. We are not switching providers, they are just moving us their new location with better peering, which translates to a better connection for you. Because of this, there will be a server outage Wednesday, January 3rd starting at midnight. We will be back online once we are in our new location.

Server Move Postponed! We have just received word from our datacenter that the server move that was planned for this evening, has been postponed until a later date. We will post again once we hear what the new timetable will be. Until then Way Out There Radio will continue blasting tunes to you.

Server Outage Notice! On Friday November 18th at 11:30PM EST Way Out There Radio's servers will be coming offline in preperation for a server move to our new datacenter. The station will be unavailable during this move. If all goes as planned, we should be back up and streaming by some time on Saturday morning.

   Much of the Gulf Coast from Louisiana to Alabama is obliterated in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and floodwaters continue to rise in teh overwhelmed city of New Orleans. Millions of people are suffering from the devastation and desperrrately need water, food, shelter and medical care today, as well as help coping with what promises to be a massive long-term recovery effort.
   We here at WOTR Way Out There Radio would like to ask for all our listeners assistance. Please, Please, Please, if you can find it in your heart, donate to the Red Cross, or Charity of your choice, to help with the relief effort. Please follow the link to the Network for Good website, where they have compiled a list of the organizations helping with the Hurricane Katrinna relief effort and links where you can donate.
   Our hope and prayers go out to all the families effected by this horrible disaster.

The summer has just flown by and here it is already the middle of August. School has started for some and is right around the corner for others. Summer vacation is over and cooler weather better show up soon. Be sure to keep an eye on the schedule as DJs settle back into the routine and take over the air waves.
